- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 large potatoes, cubed
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1-2 tsp red chili powder to taste
- ¼ cup water
- Salt to taste
- Mint (optional)
- Heat oil in a saucepan and saute onion until lightly browned.
- Add potatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt. Stir for 1 min.
- Add water and cook covered on medium heat until potatoes are well cooked.
- Remove cover and continue cooking on low heat for about 15 min, or until dry.
- Garnish with mint.
